Sliding Panel Tilts When Open During ProgrammingUpdated 2 years ago
If, when programming human, pet, or stacker opening width, the door opens fully then tilts (with the top edge of the sliding panel opening further than the bottom edge of the sliding panel), it can cause significant calibration issues. This most commonly happens on units mounted at the top of doors that only have a doorstop at the bottom.
It can also occur (albeit more rarely) with AutoSlide systems mounted on the ground operating a door with a doorstop only at the top.
During programming, when the door is about to reach the fully open position, manually brace the door at both the top and the bottom to keep it from tilting. Once programming is complete, test the system:
- If the human opening width was programmed, press the Inside Sensor button.
- If the Stacker opening width was programmed, put the unit out of Blue Mode, let the door close and settle, then put the unit back into Blue Mode.
- If the Pet opening width was programmed, then ensure the unit is in Pet Mode and press the Pet Sensor button.
When the door opens, check to see if it reaches the actual maximum opening position and physically hits the door stop.
- If it does, reprogramming the opening width will be required (attempt bracing the door sooner before it reaches the fully open position). If using an AutoSlide rack & pinion system, ensure the motor gear isn't slipping/skipping on the rack.
- If it does not, the unit should be good to continue operation without reprogramming.
