What Type of System Do I Have?Updated a year ago

The below article will list the three different versions of automatic door system we have, along with visual cues to identify them.

AutoSlide

The AutoSlide system utilizes a track & pinion mechanism to slide a single panel door open and closed. The main unit body is only about 19.5" in length, and while normally installed at the top of the door it could also be floor-mounted. Primary visual signs that you have this system include:

  • A cover only spanning 19" in length
  • An AutoSlide logo visible on the cover
  • An exposed toothed track

You can determine the exact model of your AutoSlide by the motor. See the below diagram for more information.

MultiDrive / AutoLuxe

The MultiDrive system is a belt drive unit, with a motorized gear on one end of the door and a return gear on the other end of the door. This system typically spans the entire door's width, and is always installed at the top of the door. This system can also automate a single sliding panel door, and is the only system AutoSlide offers that can automate a multipanel door (OXXO, OXX, etc.) with one motor. Primary visual signs that you have this system include:

  • A cover spanning the entire width of the door
  • No logo on the cover
  • A visible black toothed belt able to be seen on the back side of the system when the door is open

AutoSwing

The AutoSwing is our only system available for swinging doors. An inswing arm (using a slide rail and ball mechanism) and outswing arm (using a jointed moment arm) are offered, see below for differences.
