When purchasing a replacement tag, if you're uncertain of your tag set version be sure to check by following the instructions below. If your tag set is Version 1, contact us prior to purchasing.

Determining Your Tag Set Version

RFID Tag:

Hold down the button on the RFID tag for at least 10 seconds. Note that you may need to hold the button down at an angle to get the press to register.

  • If the blue LED at the corner of the tag begins to flash in a sequence - one flash, two flashes, three flashes, one flash, etc. - then the tag is V1.
  • If the blue LED at the corner of the tag turns on solid, the tag is V2.

Alternatively, if the tag has an FCC sticker on the back and/or says "2.0" on the back, it's a V2 tag.

Tag Sensor Box:

With all tags out of range of the sensor box and the system powered on, observe the oval status light on the front.

  • If the light is on solid blue, the tag sensor box is V1.
  • If there is no light on at all, the tag sensor box is V2.

Alternatively, you can confirm the sensor box version by checking the color of the board on the back of the sensor box per this picture.
