Door Doesn't Move During Programming, Lights Flash ContinuouslyUpdated 12 hours ago
If the mode lights flash continuously but the door doesn't start to open when programming,
- Listen for any humming or grinding noise coming from the motor. An internal humming noise coming from inside the motor barrel could indicate a faulty worm gear needing replacement. An external grinding noise between the motor and AutoSlide track means poor engagement, see here.
- There could be a communication issue between the motherboard and the motor. Unplug the cable connecting to the Motor port on the AutoSlide's control panel, then fully plug it back in. Power the system back on, let the door close fully, and attempt programming again.
If the door still won't move and the lights are still flashing, attempt to manually assist the system in opening the door.
- If the door seems locked and unable to open by hand, ensure the door isn't manually locked or self-latching. If the system is an iLocking system, unplug the Lock cable (which should be connected to the bottommost port on the left side of the controller)
- If the door is able to slide open with very little extra resistance, but the motor still makes no effort to open the door, it is most likely either an internal motor issue or a connection issue between the motor and the controller.
- If the door immediately starts to open automatically after you assist it initially, this can indicate a worn down worm gear or the motor being too weak to slide the door open. Make sure DIP switch #2 or DIP switch #7 is turned on in the AutoSlide (not both), or increase Door Opening Force in the AutoSlide app if connected. Power the system off and manually open and close the door to ensure it slides smoothly and doesn't get stuck. Power the system on and test again.
