How to Clear Sensor Box CacheUpdated a year ago

All RFID Tag Sensor Boxes have a memory cache, allowing them to remember multiple tags. At a certain point, this memory cache can be filled - preventing the sensor box from learning new tags. To fix this, the memory cache must be cleared (to remove any currently paired tags). From there, just the new tag(s) and any original tags still being used can be paired back to the sensor box like normal.

The process for clearing the memory cache varies by the version of sensor box. See picture here to determine if your sensor box is V1 or V2.

For Version 1 Sensor Boxes

  1. Begin by taking all tags out of range (at least 15' away).
  2. Press and hold down the sensor button until the light goes purple.
  3. From there, immediately release the button for one second, then press and hold the button back down again.
  4. Continue holding the button down until the light goes back to blue.

For Version 2 Sensor Boxes

  1. Begin by taking all tags out of range (at least 15' away).
  2. Press and release the sensor button. The light should turn red.
  3. Wait for one second, then press and hold the button back down again.
  4. After a few seconds, the light should eventually turn off. Release the button.
