My AutoSlide Doesn't Open FullyUpdated 9 days ago
If the AutoSlide, when activated, doesn't open the door fully, it can indicate a potential obstruction or calibration issue. To begin troubleshooting, start with the system powered off, and the door closed. Any IR sensors, motion sensors, or tag sensors should be deactivated. Make sure any door lock is disengaged.
Manually slide the door fully open and closed a few times, going at a steady constant pace and feeling for any resistance. Make sure to grab the door at the height the unit is mounted (e.g. if the unit is mounted at the top of the door, push and pull the door from the top - not at the handle in the middle). If resistance or increase in drag is felt, especially around the area where the door tends to get stuck, this is likely triggering a safety reversal when the system opens. Attempt to determine the source of this resistance and eliminate it, then test.
If the door can be easily opened and closed without issue, close the door fully then power the system on. The lights should flash, then the AutoSlide should settle into a mode while the door stays closed. Ensure the AutoSlide is not in Blue Mode. Turn the OpenTime setting up to approximately midway between the minimum and maximum. Press Inside Sensor on the system to activate it to open.
- If it opens partially then immediately closes back up without waiting, this indicates the safety reversal was activated - check again for physical obstruction, or contact AutoSlide for further support.
- If it opens partially, waits anywhere from 2-25 seconds, then closes, proceed to next section.
Once the door is fully closed, reverse DIP switch #1 (labeled Direction/Learn on the front) twice, e.g. if the switch is ON, flip it OFF and immediately back ON. This will start the width programming process. The door should open fully, close fully, open partially at a fast speed, then close. If it does not follow those steps, please contact AutoSlide support.
Test system by pressing the Inside Sensor button at the top right corner of the control panel. If the system still opens partially, please contact AutoSlide support.
