Sensor Keeping Door Open ConstantlyUpdated 11 days ago
If there is a green light solid or flashing / flickering next to Inside Sensor, Outside Sensor, or Pet Sensor, it indicates either a constantly/repeatedly triggering AutoSlide sensor or (in extremely rare cases) third party signal interference.
Is there a hardwired sensor connected to the sensor port on the AutoSlide corresponding to the green light? Specifically,
- If Inside Sensor shows a green light, is there a cable plugged into the top port on the right side of the AutoSlide's controller?
- If Outside Sensor shows a green light, is there a cable plugged into the second port down from the top on the right side of the AutoSlide's controller?
- If Pet Sensor shows a green light, is there a cable plugged into the third port down from the top on the right side of the AutoSlide's controller?
If the answer is YES to any of the above Unplug this cable from the AutoSlide controller temporarily.
| If the answer is NO to all of the above Check all wireless AutoSlide sensors/remotes. Every AutoSlide sensor/remote shows an LED light whenever it is activated. Observe each sensor when nothing is in front of it to see if it has a flashing or solid activation light. Do this for any remotes (wall buttons, four button remotes, keypad) as well. The most common sensors to falsely activate and keep a door open are the IR sensor and handwave sensor if placed in an area with exposure to direct sunlight. If you locate one or more sensors/remotes that are showing signs of false activation, power off the sensor/remote. The door should close. Contact AutoSlide support for further assistance. Otherwise, if no sensor or remote is showing visible signs of false activation, turn off all wireless sensors and remotes one by one, waiting a few minutes between each. If the door begins to close after a certain sensor has been turned off, that sensor is most likely the source of the issue. If all sensors and remotes have been deactivated and the door is still staying open, contact AutoSlide support. |
