Door Closes Then Lights Flash EndlesslyUpdated 2 days ago

If the door closes (with all lights flashing) when first powered on, then once fully closed all lights continue to flash endlessly until the system is powered off, then there could be an issue with the motor or power going to the system.

If lights are flashing continuously without pause

The gear of the motor may be skipping on the track, or the motor may be internally damaged or worn. When the door is fully closed and all lights are flashing,

  • Look at the black nylon gear of the motor to see if it's slipping on the toothed track. This normally produces a loud grinding/slipping noise. If this is the case, power the system off immediately. This indicates that there is poor engagement between the gear and track. Visit this article for solutions.
  • If the black gear isn't skipping on the track, listen for an internal humming, clicking, or grinding noise coming from inside the motor. This indicates the worm gear inside may be worn, damaged, or slipping. In this case, the motor base or the full motor must be replaced. Power off the system and contact AutoSlide support.
  • There may be a communication issue between the motor and the controller of the system. Unplug the cable connecting to the Motor port on the AutoSlide's control panel. Examine the condition of the cable and port to make sure there are no damaged connections. Then fully plug it back in.

If none of the above apply, contact AutoSlide for advanced support.

If lights are flashing, then turning off and pausing, then repeating

There may be a power related issue causing the system to "amp out" when trying to register its closed position. Visit this article for support.
